Plataria beach in Plataria, Thesprotia

Plataria’ s Beach is located right next to the homonymous beautiful settlement in an ideal spot.

It is a large, approximately 1.5 km, sandy and shallow beach with clear waters. In the summer months, many people gather from both Igoumenitsa and other destinations as it is located in a central, easily accessible place.

The main marina of Plataria makes the beach special as every year welcomes dozens of boats and yachts! Also along the beach you will find many fish taverns that are famous for their fresh fish as well as cafes to enjoy your coffee or a snack!

Finally, it should be noted that there is also plenty of space for parking!

Kokkinos Vrachos beach in Plataria, Thesprotia

The beach of Kokkinos Vrachos is just before Plataria. You will meet her by going from the old road of Igoumenitsa - Plataria.

It is a very beautiful beach, as it consists of two small coves where you can enjoy your swim. Its name is due to the red rocks that surround the beach. It attracts many young people as it has a bar that operates during the summer months and offers both sun loungers and coffee, drinks and snacks.

Kalami beach in Plataria, Thesprotia

Kalami beach is the second to meet after Igoumenitsa, heading for Plataria.

It is a small and quiet beach surrounded by very green! At the same place you will find the homonym camping. The sandy beach is composed of fine pebbles and the waters are cool! You can also enjoy your coffee or a snack on the loungers offered by the campsite and beach bars.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that it also provides enough parking space for your car.

Cat (Gata) Beach in Plataria, Thesprotia

The beach of Gata is the first to meet after Igoumenitsa, heading for Plataria.

It is a small beautiful beach surrounded by very green and steep cliffs that make it one of the most picturesque of the area! The sandy beach is made of thick pebbles and its waters are blue and clear! You can also enjoy your coffee or a snack on the sun loungers provided by the picturesque canteen that works there.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that it also provides enough parking space for your car.

Nautilus beach

There are two ways to visit Nautilus beach. One is just outside the entrance of the camp to take the alley that goes right (asphalt) and go out to the beach located a little to the right of the camping where there is room for some cars.

The other way is to go into the camping and follow the left (almost straight) alley, where you will soon see a sign saying "Visitor Parking" and then get off on foot to the beach some 150 to 200 meters away. Here you will find a beach bar, a beach volley, sun loungers - umbrellas for rent as well as a café restaurant just above. But you can also lay under the shade of the tall trees on the stone benches that are there.

The beach is pebbled and small stones and the bottom is a bit more in. Nevertheless, many people who prefer it even from neighboring Plataria and prefer the very clear waters.

Bella Vraka Beach in Sivota, Thesprotia

Bella Vraka beach connects Sivota with the islet Mourtemeno.

One can visit it on foot, literally passing through the sea. It is a small, picturesque, sandy beach that gathers many tourists.

The beach also offers the opportunity to practice various water sports. There is the possibility to visit it by car that you leave in the parking lot above the beach and down to it from a suitable shaped path. Once you see it, you will be enchanted by the beautiful scenery. Next to this there are other organized beaches where you can go either by trails or by boat and some of them are inaccessible.

Mikri Ammos beach in Sivota, Thesprotia

Mikri Ammos beach is a small, picturesque and cool beach. It is special and organized because it has a bar and a food, while the fun of many young people there is obvious.

Its waters are crystal clear while the sandy beach is composed of fine and thick pebbles. You can also find sun loungers, umbrellas and parking with plenty of space.

Mikri Ammos is very much preferred by the youth as it is very often organized parties with loud music! Fun often keeps up until the early morning hours!

Mega Ammos beach in Sivota, Thesprotia

Mega Ammos beach is a beautiful beach with pebbles and blue-green waters. It is picturesque and organized both with umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as with refreshments and fish taverns.

You will find it going to Sivota before Mikri Ammos beach. It is full of life from the beginning of the season to the end. It attracts both youth and families with children!

Beach Pisina (Pool) in Sivota, Thesprotia

The beach of Pisina is one of the most famous beaches in Sivota. It's no accident to choose her name. It is worth visiting, only by boat, since it is opposite Sivota on an island, that of St. Nicholas.

Agia Paraskevi beach in Perdika, Thesprotia

Agia Paraskevi beach is a beautiful pebble and gravel beach in the middle of a verdant landscape, just across from a green island. Of course one can visit it swimming. It rarely has a wave and at the beginning of the beach is the chapel of Agia Paraskevi.

Arillas beach in Perdika, Thesprotia

Arillas beach (Arillas) is a sheltered organized beach with fine sand and crystal clear waters. It is ideal and preferred for families with children, since it is very shallow. It is surrounded by very picturesque scenery, which is enhanced by the existence of a boat harbor, where many visitors stop and enjoy the beach. In this beach you will find deck chairs with full service (coffee, snacks, sea games), as well as various taverns with fresh fish. Clearly one can reach the beach, it is very accessible and has parking space.

Beach Drepano

Drepano is the closest beach in the city of Igoumenitsa and is preferred by many locals and tourists during the summer!

It is a very long, approximately 4 km, sandy and shallow beach with clear waters. It starts from the homonymous camping site at the beginning and ends at Makrigialli at the other end of it! Along the beach you will find many taverns for lunch and drink as well as a seaside club for young people! Also in many places it is possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas! Lastly, it should be mentioned that the parking space is unlimited!

Beaches of Parga

To make your... dives, Parga offers several good choices. The central sandy beach of Parga is Kryoneri, just a few meters away from the pier and the center, and is a small, clean sandy beach with pebbles. Just below is the quiet (even in the high season) sandy back of Kryoneri.

The most famous beach in the area is undoubtedly the Valtos. To the west of the city, about 10 minutes' walk from the center and behind the castle, the bustling sandy beach has water sports facilities and gathers the majority of the world, both young and family. You can reach it by foot from the narrow alley that starts from the castle.
